Job Description

The Treasury Manager reports to and is led by the Head of Group Accounting and Treasury (HGAT), who in turn reports to the Group's CFO. The Treasury Manager is responsible for Beckers Group's treasury and cash management activities within the Finance department. The successful candidate will be a part of the Beckers’ Finance team and, in addition, will collaborate with colleagues of Beckers’ parent company, Lindéngruppen, as well as external banks.

The position is based at our Head Office in Berlin, Germany, which currently employs approx. 25 people in various group functions.

About the position:

As Treasury Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the Beckers Group's treasury operations.

The role mainly implies controlling and supporting the liquidity management of Group entities and dealing with Banks and other financial institutions to provide credit facilities, financial instruments and cash management solutions.

Your responsibilities and deliverables:

Role and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the treasury function within Beckers, where the Group's cash management, management of financing, financial risk management and ongoing banking issues are essential.
  • Support the CFO and HGAT in the development of the Group's treasury operations.
  • Internal advice and guidance on treasury-related issues and be the Group's expert in the treasury area.
  • Optimize financial results and balance sheet within the framework of the Beckers Group's business concept, strategy and financial policy.

Specific Tasks

  • Treasury and cash management:
    • Cash pool reporting and monitoring
    • Maintain the relationship with the global banking partner, ensuring alignment on international treasury and financing matters at the group level
    • Managing and overseeing user access, roles, and permissions of a Cash Pool banking solution
    • Administration and monitoring of Internal financing
    • Flow of dividends within the Group and towards Beckers’ parent company, Lindéngruppen
    • Monthly generation and analysis of liquidity reporting including forecast
    • Assess the financing needs of group entities, define appropriate financing solutions and supervise the corresponding administrative tasks
    • Coordination of external financing of group entities
    • Support and coordination of currency hedging transactions and netting activities
    • Administration and reporting of the bank guarantees
  • Other tasks within the finance department:
    • Participation in the consolidation process of the group accounts in IFRS
    • Contributing to internal projects
    • Management and support of the HQ office expenditure approval and payment process

Qualifications

  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics or comparable qualification
  • Min. 4-5 years of work experience in Finance with some exposure in Treasury and Accounting.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)
  • Working in matrix organisations, preferably in mid-size groups, with highly international teams
