Hitachi Zosen Inova (HZI), a subsidiary of Hitachi Zosen Corporation, is a leading global provider of integrated solutions for the energy transition and circular economy, with a focus on energy from waste (EfW) and renewable gas (RG). It is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland. HZI acts as a project developer, technology provider and contractor for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of turnkey plants and system solutions for the thermal and biological treatment of waste, gas treatment and power-to-gas.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates leadership and commitment to Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ). Actively encourages and leads HZI and contractor teams to implement and comply with project HSEQ requirements.
  • Is responsible for the safety and HSE performance of all personnel under the control of this position and for stopping work where this may be compromised and co-ordinates the day to day management of service activities on site.
  • Manages and supports the activities of engineers and project managers in the delivery of services on site, liaising daily with the client, suppliers and contractors to coordinate and plan the work.
  • Prepares site progress reports and checks all supplier reports for consistency, completeness and appropriate confirmation of properly executed scope of services prior to submission to the Project Manager.
  • Controls the working hours, quality of project execution within the scope of services and ensures timely identification of all potential and actual delays with proposals for action to remedy such delays.
  • Maintains all site records.
  • Ensures that work within the scope of responsibility is carried out in accordance with the contract and within the time and budget requirements of the project.
  • Manages supervisory functions within the project team and continually reviews project progress on site.
  • Progresses change requests (technical, time and cost).

Qualifications:

  • Experienced in managing site teams.
  • Experience in service activities such as maintenance, overhaul, inspection.
  • Knowledge of welding and related quality requirements would be an advantage.
  • Experience as a leader in HSEQ management and knowledge of relevant HSEQ legislation and management system requirements.
  • Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or equivalent.
  • Valid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC), Safepass (ROI), CSCS or CCNSG card or equivalent.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite applications with user knowledge of any type of ERP system.
  • Good communicator, team player.
  • Excellent motivational and leadership skills.
  • Willing and interested in travelling in Central Europe.
