About the Role :
In this role you will provide guidance and mentorship to your team members, fostering their professional growth and ensuring the successful execution of cybersecurity initiatives. You will also collaborate closely with other senior leaders and stakeholders to align cybersecurity strategies with business objectives. You will be accountable for the cybersecurity governance framework including technical compliance, assurance & audit and TPRM third party risk management, as well as training & awareness. You lead your teams to ensure compliance within industry standards and regulations be it ISO21434, ASPICE or other cybersecurity regulations. You will have a significant impact on the business by defining and driving the global Cybersecurity Governance Strategy, with a strong focus on improving maturity.
What You Will Do
- Handle strategic planning, guide managers & make high-level decisions within Governance.
- Provide strategic direction for comprehensive cybersecurity process architectures and strategies for the Automotive industry, adhering to industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends as well as influence company strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and establish security requirements, integrating cybersecurity measures throughout the entire development lifecycle.
- Conduct thorough threat modelling, risk assessments, and vulnerability analysis to identify potential security risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Define and implement secure communication protocols, access control mechanisms, encryption solutions, and intrusion detection systems within Automotive systems.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in cybersecurity technologies, industry regulations, and emerging threats, and provide thought leadership and guidance to address complex challenges.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to your team members, fostering their professional growth and ensuring the successful execution of cybersecurity projects.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as suppliers and customers, to ensure alignment on cybersecurity requirements, standards, and best practices.
What You Need
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline; advanced degrees are highly preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in Automotive Cybersecurity or a related field or PhD with +5 years of experience in a related field.
- Sound understanding of Automotive Cybersecurity Engineering standards (ISO / SAE 21434 : 2021, VDA A-SPICE for cybersecurity, etc.).
- Understanding of UNECE WP.29 R155 (CSMS) + R156 (SUMS).
- Solid experience with Product Life Cycle activities from development to field and service.
- Familiar with cybersecurity threat analysis and risk assessment methods (EVITA, STRIDE, etc.).
- Excellent management and communication skills collaborating with other leaders.
- Excellent mentorship skills overseeing multiple managers and teams to further a positive ownership and feedback culture.
What is Nice to Have
- Proven experience of driving cybersecurity initiatives globally in large organizations to meet business strategic & financial goals.
- Member of a cybersecurity leadership consortium, Automotive cybersecurity experience (preferably from Tier-1 or OEM).
- Experience in IoT / Embedded systems security engineering.
