Job Description

DiGOS Potsdam GmbH specializes in the development, production, and distribution of state-of-the-art measurement, communication, and control systems. We build laser ground stations for highly precise orbit determination of satellites and/or space debris, as well as for laser communication with satellites (Opto Comms). With our turnkey laser ground station solutions, we are successfully positioned in the international market.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to support our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading role in the design and development of our system software for robotic Satellite Laser Ranging Stations.
  • Implement state of the art processes for end to end software development, from requirements, to development, validation, deployment and maintenance.
  • Implement state of the art processes for software documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers and the operations team with regards to new features requests, upgrades and debugging.
  • Develop new software solutions in the framework of satellite laser ranging stations.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or comparable in computer science, information technology or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development for complex systems, preferable for hardware driven control systems.
  • 3+ years of experience in leading software development and a team of developers.
  • Strong knowledge of C++, Qt Framework and Linux.
  • Fascination for technology, software design and mathematical affinity.
  • Self-directed, responsible and eager to learn.
  • Mindful, transparent and empathetic towards your teammates.
