Senior Consultant (m/f/d) IT Security

What you can expect: In our IT Advisory division, we support our clients in identifying, describing and addressing measures in the area of IT security. Our consultants take both the IT security management and the IT security operations perspective.

You will focus on supporting our customers in the following tasks:

1. Development of strategies and concepts to improve IT security
2. Evaluation, optimization and further development of relevant organizational and technical IT security processes
3. Conceptual as well as practical activities in the area of IT security management and IT security operations
4. Technical security such as Security Incident and Event Management/ Security Operation Center (SIEM/SOC)

Your profile:

1. Understanding of IT architectures, infrastructures and operating systems
2. Knowledge of current developments and trends in the field of IT security with a focus on virus protection, spyware protection, malware analysis, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, anti-spam software and encryption
3. Practical experience in operating software in the areas of virus protection, spyware protection, malware analysis, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, anti-spam software, encryption, etc.
4. Knowledge of IT security solutions and products such as HPE ArcSight, Symantec/Blue Coat Secure Web Gateway, McAfee ePO or VirusScan Enterprise, BCC MailProtect, Sophos SafeGuard, Tenable SecurityCenter, IBM QRadar or similar.
5. Practical experience in configuration, optimization, expansion and troubleshooting in the above-mentioned areas or products
6. Practical experience in a Security Incident and Event Management Team (SIEM), a Security Operations Center (SOC) or an Incident Response Team (CERT/CSIRT)
7. Practical experience in incident and problem management processes and tools such as BMC Remedy or similar
8. Practical experience in the evaluation, optimization and further development of relevant organizational and technical IT security processes
9. Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, etc.
10. Confident appearance and persuasiveness in dealing with customers
11. Written and spoken German and English
