Junior Digital Designer - Design Systems

Role Description:

The Junior Digital Designer at Bragi will support the design team in maintaining and evolving the design system across all digital products. This role focuses on contributing to a cohesive and consistent user experience, ensuring that design patterns and elements are scalable, accessible, and aligned with the overall product vision. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in digital design, an eye for detail, and a passion for creating intuitive, high-quality design systems.

What you will do

1. Contribute to the design and implementation of design system components, ensuring consistency across digital platforms
2. Work with senior designers to create, update, and refine UI elements such as buttons, typography, color schemes, and iconography
3. Help document design patterns, guidelines, and principles for internal use
4. Assist in managing and evolving the design system, ensuring it is up to date with the latest design trends and product needs
5. Use design tools like Figma and Photoshop to create and maintain design system libraries and components
6. Ensure design system components are scalable, reusable, and easy to implement by engineering teams

What you will need

1. Bachelor’s or similar degree in Design, Digital Design, UX Design, or a related field
2. First commercial experience in digital design via an internship, preferably with exposure to design systems
3. A portfolio showcasing design work, including UI elements, pages, and flows
4. Proficient in Figma and other design software (e.g., Sketch, Adobe Creative) and basic knowledge with prototyping tools
5. Experience using AI driven design tools such as Firefly, Canva, and Dora
6. Knowledge of atomic design and token-based design systems
7. Basic understanding of front-end development (HTML/CSS)
8. Strong attention to detail and a passion for design consistency
9. Can-do attitude and will to make it happen
10. Excellent communication and collaboration skills
