We believe that controlling the Attack Surface is the most essential part of vulnerability management. Join our team of cyber defense experts in Düsseldorf and play a crucial role in establishing and enhancing our Attack Surface Management capabilities.

Role Overview: As a Vulnerability Management Expert, you will lead and steer the development, maintenance, and strategic direction of Attack Surface Management capabilities for METRO AG. You will act as a central point of responsibility, providing technical guidance to proactively identify and remediate vulnerabilities within our environment, ultimately reducing the risk of associated incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ownership: Take ownership of the vulnerability management process, focusing on attack surface management.
• Outcome Responsibility: Be responsible for the performance and deliverables of the operational VM services provided for the global METRO organization.
• Leadership: Lead initiatives to improve the security posture of the company.
• Collaboration: Work closely with MSSP Analysts to optimize detection and response capabilities.
• Strategic Guidance: Oversee current tools and technologies, providing strategic guidance to continuously improve Attack Surface Management.
• Team Structure: You will be part of a very international team of cyber defense experts based in Düsseldorf, collaborating with service providers delivering the operational service.

• A degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 3-8 years of experience in technical risk reduction.
• A collaborative and knowledge-sharing attitude.
• Proven experience in leading the development, maintenance, and strategic direction of Attack Surface Management capabilities.
• Strong technical guidance skills for proactive vulnerability identification and remediation.
