Location/Division Specific Information

We are a research, development, and production site in Bremen, currently with about 500 employees, whose “high-end” measurement and analysis instruments (mass spectrometers) are used in research and science worldwide.

Discover Impactful Work:

We are actively seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join our agile Life Science R&D department. In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your experience in developing electrical circuits for mass spectrometers, overseeing the entire process from conception to production documentation.

A Day in the Life:

  • Contribute to the design and development of complex electronics, including high frequency and high voltage circuits.
  • Work alongside a highly motivated, multinational and interdisciplinary team in our Bremen office.
  • Participate in product development teams and project planning ensuring your expertise is utilized in decision-making.
  • Engage in installation and testing of developed electronics on mass spectrometers.
  • Calculate product and process costs contributing to effective decision-making.
  • Involved in Change Management (ECO) and Quality Control during product commercialization phase.
  • Participate in product development projects that span across multiple sites worldwide.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • University degree in electrical engineering, or related fields.

Experience

  • Extensive professional experience in designing analog electronics, with an emphasis on high voltage and/or high frequency electronics.
  • Solid understanding of Product Development Practices, Processes and Tools.
  • Experience with low volume, high-value large complex systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electronic circuits and in conducting root cause analysis.

  • Work in a cost-conscious, effective, and autonomous manner.
  • Embrace a growth mindset, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt.

  • Good written and oral communication skills in German and English.
  • Good knowledge of Windows and Office programs.
