Job Title: User Researcher

We are seeking an experienced User Researcher to join our Materials and Structural Analysis Division (MSD) in Brno. As a User Researcher, you will be responsible for understanding user needs and behaviors to inform the design and development of our scientific instruments and software. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet the needs of our users.

We work closely with 4 sites: Bordeaux (France), Eindhoven (Netherlands), Brno (Czech Republic) and Hillsboro (US). You will be collaborating with software teams from all these sites.

Mission:

Your mission will be to support our team in its daily tasks as an internal UX service team:

  • Plan and conduct user research studies, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and field observations.
  • Analyze and synthesize research data to generate actionable insights.
  • Communicate research findings through reports, presentations, and workshops.
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to incorporate user insights into product development.
  • Develop and maintain user personas, journey maps, and other research artifacts.
  • Stay updated on industry trends in user research.
  • Advocate for the user research principles within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience as a User Researcher with a portfolio showcasing your research work.
  • Proficiency in various user research methodologies and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with scientific instruments and software is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with Agile software methodology (Kanban).
  • Willingness to learn and share knowledge with the team.
  • Can work in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken).
