Graphic Designer & Web Developer (m/f/d)

As a Graphic Designer & Web Developer, you'll be the creative force behind Swabian Instruments' visual identity and digital presence. You enhance Swabian Instruments’ online presence, brand identity, and customer engagement through innovative design and effective web development. Working closely with our marketing team, you strategically align design content toward our scientific community.

Your contribution to our team

• Lead the creation of digital and print marketing materials, including trade show booths, brochures, presentations, merchandise, newsletter templates, and office branding assets.

• Design, develop, and maintain visually compelling, user-friendly websites that ensure seamless functionality and an engaging user experience.

• Optimize the website’s deployment pipeline to streamline content updates and accelerate the release of new features.

• Establish and uphold a cohesive visual identity for Swabian Instruments by refining style guidelines for logos, typography, and color schemes.

• Capture and edit high-quality photos and videos, creating engaging multimedia content such as infographics, animations, and promotional videos for various campaigns.

• Collaborate closely with marketing and web development teams to align designs with the brand identity and enhance the overall user experience.

Minimum Requirements

• Educational Background: A degree in Communication Design, Graphic Design, Media Design, Web Development or a related field.

• Technical Expertise: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite for photo and video editing, as well as UI/UX design tools like Figma.

• Web Development Skills: Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web development practices, including the integration of third-party content.

• Website Optimization & SEO: Experience in enhancing website performance, implementing SEO strategies, and ensuring compliance with cross-origin resource sharing (CORS) policies.

• Design Sensibility: A sharp eye for aesthetics and attention to detail, capable of creating visually compelling and modern designs.

• Version Control & CI/CD: Familiarity with Git workflows and continuous integration pipelines, such as GitLab.

• Communication & Collaboration: Strong English communication skills to effectively collaborate in a diverse, multidisciplinary environment.
