Responsibilities:

  • Advising the management, business units and functional departments in all legal matters such as intra-group contracting, customer- and project acquisition, purchasing activities including preparing, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, and other contractual documents in the area of automobile engineering, software programming, service provision, licensing
  • Responsible for internal legal projects such as implementation of a Contract Management System, management of IP rights, running and further developing the Compliance Management System
  • Processing of data protection questions together with the external data protection officer
  • Support in all questions of individual and collective labor law
  • Drafting, implementation and continuous evaluation of the adequacy and effectiveness of compliance policies, standard legal procedures and processes, internal controls
  • Support of the R&D departments with questions of IP-Rights as of patent protection as well as negotiation of development contracts with both external companies as well as with affiliated companies
  • “Corporate Housekeeping” including maintenance of relevant registers, processing of KYC requests and UBO questionnaires, interaction with affiliated group companies and shareholders
  • Managing external law firms on specific legal matters
  • Support the team in all legal matters and relevant areas of law

Your Profile:

  • Qualified lawyer with a minimum of five years of PQE either at a reputable law firm or company
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (legal and business English) and German
  • Have acquired good knowledge of laws in the fields of corporate, contract, commercial transactions and negotiation processes
  • Relevant experience in dealing with data protection/privacy matters (GDPR) and Compliance issues
  • Excellent communication/relationship building skills with an ability to influence at all levels both internally and externally
  • Intercultural experience and open mind to work within an international workforce
