We are hiring a driven Director, EI&C Systems, Visp. In this role you will provide direction to the team and work closely together with other engineering disciplines.

The role is based in Visp, Switzerland. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed.

Key responsibilities:

1. Leading the EI&C IT/OT Team within the EI&C Engineering department.
2. Project Engineering: Planning and implementation of complex technical projects in all phases (evaluation, basic and detailed planning, piloting, technology transfer, realization of investment projects and optimization of current installations) for Visp.
3. Plan, direct and supervise the engineering and OT system maintenance activities within his team.
4. Building a successful team with a well-developed sense of commercial acumen combined with strong traditional project management & engineering skills.
5. Implement best practice for engineering and project management.
6. Champion continuous education and actively supporting career development.
7. Development and implementation of the future automation strategy and OT technology to ensure that Lonza uses state of the art technologies.
8. Create a spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation.
9. Develop a Project Engineering Culture that goes beyond industry standards in terms of innovation, speed and agility.
10. Supervising all aspects of large project engineering design from Project initiation to handover.

Key requirements:

1. Bachelor or Master in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
2. Proficient in German and English.
3. Excellent leadership skills and proven experience in a leadership role.
4. Broad expertise in the field of EI&C and OT systems.
5. Strong project management skills, with a good commercial acumen.
6. Can build and develop strong teams.
7. Comprehension for business and finance processes.
