Job Description

A day in the Life

Are you a Laboratory Specialist with expertise in Bio-/ Chemical Quality Control? Join Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. and play a crucial role in impacting global health and safety.

• Support the establishment of an operational Bio-/ Chemical Quality Control (BCQC) unit within Thermo Fisher, Lengnau site.
• Aid in the transfer, development, and validation of analytical methods, ensuring the qualification of necessary equipment.
• Participate in the maintenance, calibration, and use of laboratory equipment to maintain outstanding standards.
• Conduct testing of final and intermediate products, in-process samples, raw materials, samples from cleaning validation, utilities, and environmental monitoring samples.
• Engage in the training and qualification of new employees, promoting a culture of inclusion and collaboration.
• Build and update guidance documents such as SOPs/WIs and other related documents to establish standard methodologies.
• Support the QC Support team during the project phase in the ordering of materials and inventory management of the QC laboratories.

Education

Diploma as Laboratory technician – chemical, biochemical, pharmaceutical, or similar direction or similar education.

Experience & Skills

Experience:

• 3 years of experience in chemical or biochemical laboratories, including proven experience in a regulated GMP environment.
