Our client is a leading global management consulting firm specializing in strategy, transformation, and sustainability. With a strong presence across international markets, the firm partners with top-tier clients to drive impactful ESG initiatives and sustainable business strategies. As ESG considerations become increasingly central to corporate decision-making, our client is expanding its expertise and seeking a highly skilled ESG Manager to join its Amsterdam office.

Role Overview

The ESG Manager will be responsible for advising clients on sustainability strategies, regulatory compliance, and ESG integration within their business models. This role requires a deep understanding of ESG frameworks, industry best practices, and the evolving European regulatory landscape. The successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions to corporate and institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement ESG strategies for clients across various industries.
• Provide advisory services on regulatory compliance, including EU Taxonomy, CSRD, and SFDR.
• Conduct ESG materiality assessments, sustainability reporting, and risk analysis.
• Support clients in integrating ESG considerations into their investment and corporate strategies.
• Lead workshops, stakeholder engagements, and training sessions on sustainability topics.
• Collaborate with internal teams to drive innovation in ESG solutions and frameworks.
• Stay ahead of emerging ESG trends, market developments, and policy changes.

Key Requirements

• Dutch Native speaker is a must.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in ESG consulting, sustainability advisory, or corporate sustainability roles.
• Strong knowledge of ESG reporting standards (GRI, SASB, TCFD, etc.) and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience working with corporate clients, financial institutions, or asset managers on ESG topics.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Proficiency in ESG data analysis tools and sustainability software is a plus.
