Join our dynamic tax planning team and drive strategic initiatives that maximize value for our company! As the Tax Planning Senior Manager, you'll be a key leader in shaping the future of our organization's tax strategy and positioning us for continued success. As a Senior Manager, you'll have the opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and analytical prowess to uncover transformative tax savings opportunities.

What You'll Achieve:

  1. Developing comprehensive tax planning solutions tailored to the upcoming BR Tax Reform and our evolving business needs.
  2. Spearhead the analysis of complex tax laws, regulations, and incentives to identify innovative ways to optimize our company's tax position.
  3. Partner closely with senior leadership to align tax planning with broader business objectives and growth initiatives.
  4. Drive the implementation of approved tax planning strategies, ensuring seamless execution and long-term sustainability.

Key job responsibilities

The Senior Tax Planning Manager will be responsible for:

  1. Leading the development and implementation of the company's overall tax planning strategy to optimize tax efficiency and minimize the organization's tax liabilities.
  2. Conducting thorough analysis of the company's operations, transactions, and financial data to identify opportunities for tax savings and planning.
  3. Staying up-to-date on the latest changes in Brazilian tax laws, regulations, and incentives, and evaluating their impact on the business.
  4. Collaborating closely with the accounting, finance, and legal teams to align tax planning with the company's broader business objectives.
  5. Preparing detailed tax planning recommendations and proposals, presenting them to senior leadership for approval.
  6. Coordinating the implementation of approved tax planning strategies, ensuring proper documentation and execution.

A day in the life

This position is not directly involved in day-to-day indirect taxes compliance but is responsible for delivering the advisory planning, real-time coordination, and communication of various tax-related projects across regions, including supporting engagements and negotiations with external advisors, government bodies, tax authorities, and auditors.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Experience in taxation in a corporate environment, public accounting firm or major law firm
- Experience managing other employees and leading international tax team through hiring and development
- Advanced English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partner well with people at all levels within an organization, including coaching of junior staff
- Experience with accounting concepts and tax regulations, laws and standards
- Experience with tax modeling in Excel-based models or other similar programs
- Experience liaising with tax authorities including responding to audits and information requests
