Developing calculations and process documentation concerning industrial refrigeration plants / gas compression systems according to customer technical specifications and to agreements made during the quoting phase.
In detail:
- Execution of process simulation in the various situations covered by the specifics (design, turndown, etc.)
- Conceptual execution of the Process Flow Diagram
- Supervision of PFD execution with CAD
- Thermodynamic calculation using HTRI of shell and tube heat exchangers constituting the circuit (condensers, evaporators, economizers, oil refrigerants, gas refrigerants)
- Thermodynamic calculation using HTRI of air heat exchangers (condensers, gas refrigerants)
- Thermodynamic calculation of vessels (oil separators, gas separators, etc.)
- Internal parts definition (demisters, coalescers, flow dividers, etc.) for the above equipment
- Process datasheets execution for Customer’s approval and for request for quotation to subvendors
- Review of vendor documentation according to project specifications
- Conceptual execution of the project P&I and supervision of execution with CAD
- Collaboration with mechanical design in developing the plant layout and its relevant details
- Collaboration with instrumentation design in the project development (instrumentation, control system, etc.)
- Execution of size calculations and process datasheets for safety valves
- Execution of process datasheet for control valves
- Issue of technical specifications for purchase of heat exchangers / vessels / safety valves / control valves
- Evaluation and technical alignment of quotations of heat exchangers / vessels / safety valves / control valves
- Follow-up – coordinating with the Project Engineer – of the Customer comments about the above documentation (PFDs, P&Is, layouts, process datasheets, etc.)
- Participation in Meetings with the Customer (P&I Review, Hazop, Design Review)
- Collaboration with the offices working on the project in its different phases: engineering department, sales department, documentation department, etc.
- “Mentoring” activity directed to the Junior Process Engineer
