Site Manager - Leipzig(M/F/D)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead and oversee our contract logistics operations in Leipzig. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract logistics, warehouse management, and supply chain optimisation. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality execution of our logistics operations while maintaining strong client relationships and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily warehouse and distribution operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.

• Manage a team of warehouse, operations, and administrative staff, providing leadership, guidance, and development.

• Drive operational excellence through process improvement, cost optimisation, and performance monitoring.

• Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and industry regulations.

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.

• Implement and maintain inventory control, logistics planning, and resource allocation strategies.

• Develop and manage site budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data and technology to enhance efficiency and service quality.

• Collaborate with senior management to align strategic goals with operational execution.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (5+ years) in contract logistics, warehousing, or supply chain management.

• Strong knowledge of logistics operations, distribution models, and supply chain processes.

• Leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop teams effectively.

• Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), TMS (Transportation Management Systems), and other logistics technology.

• Strong analytically and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

• Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
