Switchgear Engineer

Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and evaluate switchgear systems in accordance with industry standards and customer requirements.
2. Perform detailed engineering calculations, including load flow, short-circuit, and relay coordination studies.
3. Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for switchgear projects.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, project management, and manufacturing, to ensure project success.
5. Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather information for switchgear installations and upgrades.
6. Provide technical support to customers and field service technicians during installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
7. Troubleshoot complex electrical issues related to switchgear equipment and recommend appropriate solutions.
8. Stay updated on the latest developments in switchgear technology, standards, and regulations. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards in all switchgear-related activities.

Desired Skills & Experience

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. Siemens certification in switchgear design and engineering is required.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in switchgear design, installation, and maintenance.
4. Proficiency in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or SKM.
5. Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including power systems, protection relays, and circuit breakers.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
