Job Description

  1. Work in a fast-paced sales and labor-intensive working environment with little margin for errors as dealing with consumables and expiry date of products.
  2. Monitor and maintain freshness and quality of products on display to meet food standards.
  3. Frontline interface with the store customer.
  4. Adhere to a customer-centric environment with a low margin of error considering high cost for re-work, governed by various health and safety legislations.
  5. Expired products for disposal will be subject to close inspection and monitoring/counting by direct supervisor/department head.
  6. Establish a professional first-level relationship by effectively interacting and assisting with customer requests and inquiries.
  7. Ensure customers are consistently satisfied with services by proactively answering inquiries.
  8. Check the product merchandise to ensure that it is correctly priced and displayed.
  9. Report any merchandise discrepancies and disposals based on inventory, profit, and loss to the department head.
  10. Clean and organize shelves and displays and missing labels.
  11. Take inventory and identify reorder needs for approval from Supervisor.
  12. During delivery, ensure the practice of First in First Out (FIFO) upon putting products on display.
  13. Consistently perform quality checks throughout the day on product freshness and stock refilling.
  14. Identify sensitive products and ensure quality assurance at all times.
  15. Assist and suggest to Supervisor depleted stocks for re-ordering based on the movement in the stock shelves.
  16. Ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods.
  17. Assist customers in finding requested items or any concerns related to pricing.
  18. Keep the aisles clean and organized for customers to easily find what they are looking for.
  19. Ensure safety rules, production, and sanitation standards are met.

Skills

  1. High School graduate with 1 year relevant experience / college-level preferable.
  2. Effective communication and customer-service skills.
  3. Language Speaking: good command in English; French and Basic Arabic an added advantage.
  4. GCC experience in a similar industry is highly desirable.
  5. Able to deliver quality service/assistance to customers.
  6. Honest, proactive, dedicated, and committed; excellent eye for detail, organized, good numeric skills.
  7. Able to work in a fast-paced working environment.
  8. Physically fit to do manual labor/heavy lifting (approx. 10 to 15 kilos).
