Job Description
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. Min 18 to 20 yrs exp mechanical engineer.
Proven experience in proposal management and development.
Strong analytical and project management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
Manage the proposal development process from initiation to submission.
Gather requirements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop proposals and generate techno-commercial proposals that are accurate, cost-effective, and address specific customer needs.
Analyze project scope, objectives, and constraints to define proposal deliverables and timelines.
Review and evaluate proposals to ensure compliance with customer requirements and internal quality standards.
Track and manage proposal timelines, coordinating with contributors and stakeholders. Conduct post-proposal evaluations and analyses to identify areas for improvement. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in proposal management.
Review customer inquiries/RFQ documents, attend customer scope meetings, and identify problem statements and customer requirements. Create superior technical solutions in line with project specifications and ensure proposals are commercially viable and competitive while mitigating and managing risk.
Define supply needs to supply chain/procurement to support the opportunities.
Take full responsibility for the assigned proposals, from initial contact through contract signing, working closely with the regional sales team.
Ensure timely response to inquiries and quick turnaround for proposals.
Coordinate with Contracts and Negotiations and internal Finance and Controls to address project contractual needs during the bidding phase, all the way to final contract closure.
Facilitate establishment of agreed Terms of Service with new clients and facilitate commercial reviews for approvals at the required levels.
Provide regular feedback on activity status to the regional commercial leads and ensure timely data updates in the proposal management system.
Good understanding of Oil & Gas facilities process. Experience in working with EPCs and end users to define project requirements for both greenfield and brownfield projects.
Comprehensive knowledge of various stages of the project lifecycle such as FEED, tendering, proposal, designing, engineering, procurement, execution, implementation, testing, construction, and commissioning. Able to identify and prepare all risks in the contract, evaluate the impact with consequences, and propose mitigation plans.
