Manager

Key responsibilities:

1. Oversee mechanical operations and maintenance for shipyard projects.
2. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet safety and quality standards.
3. Manage departmental financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.
4. Lead and develop mechanical teams, ensuring proper training and technical competency.
5. Supervise the repair, maintenance, and installation of ship engines, mechanical systems, and machining tools.
6. Monitor progress of mechanical projects, ensuring compliance with shipyard policies.
7. Ensure efficient resource allocation, procurement, and inventory control for mechanical operations.
8. Coordinate with engineering, production, and safety teams to optimize workflows.
9. Implement best practices in mechanical maintenance and project execution.
10. Maintain compliance with ISO, HSE, and international marine regulations.

Qualifications & requirements:

1. Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Certificate of Competency (Marine Engineer Officer Class 3 to 1) is preferred.
3. 10+ years of experience in shipyard operations, with at least 3-4 years in a managerial role.
4. Strong expertise in ship repair, conversion, new building, offshore, and onshore projects.
5. Extensive knowledge of ship engines, propulsion systems, and machining tools.
6. Proficiency in project management, budgeting, and cost control.
7. Experience working with ISO, HSE, and regulatory standards.
8. Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
10. Age below 40 years old preferred.
