Procurement Specialist - Doha - ManpowerGroup Middle East

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our client's team. This is a Trading & Contracting company based in Qatar.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that procured items meet or exceed requirements by reviewing work produced by coordinators and following applicable codes, standards, and procedures.
• Monitor the productivity and technical proficiency of assigned personnel.
• Coordinate procurement activities with clients, project management, and other departments within the company.
• Promote technical excellence among employees.
• Develop partnership agreements with suppliers to ensure quality and performance meet company and client requirements.
• Establish and maintain Procurement Department policies and procedures in collaboration with upper management.
• Ensure compliance with business ethics policy and Conflict-of-Interest Policy.
• Provide training on these policies as needed to assigned procurement personnel.
• Conduct performance evaluations, take corrective action when necessary, and recommend promotions and salary actions for assigned personnel.
• Complete special assignments for the Department Manager - Procurement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business management, or a similar field preferred.
• At least 3-4 years of experience as a Procurement Officer in the lighting and electrical industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Supervisory and management experience.
