Description
Duties involve setting up and wiping tables or seats with dampened cloths or replacing dirty tablecloths; setting tables with clean linens, condiments, or other supplies; scraping and stacking dirty dishes and carrying dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning; cleaning up spilled food or drink or broken dishes and removing empty bottles and trash; performing serving, cleaning, or stocking duties in establishments, such as cafeterias or dining rooms, to facilitate customer service; maintaining adequate supplies of items such as clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, or trays; serving ice water, coffee, rolls, or butter to patrons; filling beverage or ice dispensers; stocking cabinets or serving areas with condiments and refilling condiment containers; and locating items requested by customers.
