Civil Inspector (Underground Structures)

CDM Smith now requires a talented Civil Inspector (Underground Structures) for a major Tunneling project based in Qatar.

Job Duties:

1. Assist the Assistant Resident Engineer (Chief inspector)
2. Supervise construction activities of the general contractor
3. Communicate with supervision of the general contractor
4. Work 48 hours per week
5. Be able to work either day shift or night shift

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University to the approval of the Engineer.

Minimum 8 years demonstrable experience of supervision of civil construction projects of which not less than 5 years shall be in works related to underground structures projects.

Experience should also include construction involving deep excavations, structural concrete, temporary works, dewatering, pavement/road works, utilities diversion/interface, etc.
