The Business Continuity Management (BCM) Analyst will collaborate closely with the Senior BCM Analyst and the Section Head - Business Continuity to establish and maintain a robust Business Continuity program for the Bank, encompassing both domestic and international operations. The role will involve aiding in the formulation and execution of strategies to ensure the Bank's readiness and resilience in mitigating potential disruptions to critical business processes and operations. Key responsibilities will include identifying, documenting, and testing business requirements against the Bank's infrastructure, as well as identifying recovery strategies and addressing any gaps.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Banking, Finance, or a related field.
A Master's degree in Management or a related discipline would be advantageous.
5-8 years of experience in the financial services or banking industry, with a focus on business continuity.
Certification as a Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP) or Associate Disaster Recovery Planner accreditation is desirable.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with local and foreign regulations, Doha Bank's policies, and approved Business Continuity policies and procedures.
Collaborate with reporting authorities and functional business areas to develop and maintain department-level recovery strategies.
Contribute to the implementation of Business Continuity projects, ensuring objectives, schedules, and budgets are met.
Establish and implement a robust BCM program/plan to minimize the impact of unforeseen disasters or crises on internal divisions/departments/units.
Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and risk assessments for all Bank processes.
Analyze and identify critical business processes and sub-processes to develop comprehensive BCM strategies.
Develop BCM documentation, including business impact analysis, risk assessment, and recovery planning.
Coordinate BCM drills and ensure personnel are adequately trained to respond to interruptions.
Facilitate the development and continuous updating of a communication plan.
Stay informed about emerging trends in BCM and incorporate best practices.
Advise on the activation of plans and assist with IT recovery procedures.
Prepare status reports and presentations as necessary.
Provide support during out-of-office hours as needed.
