Job description

Job Purpose

Translate business needs and requests into high-quality designs, content, or communication material to ensure effective communications with all relevant stakeholders and audiences to enhance positioning of the organization among key relevant external audiences, from local community outreach to international media.

  • That the organization has a positive brand image internally and externally, and safeguard the organization's image

Key Accountabilities

SCOPE OF WORK:

  • Execute and advise on complex and/or sensitive media & content production activities and projects from start to finish, keeping to deadlines.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge regarding communication methods, techniques, and own processes within own area.
  • Work autonomously and independently, under managerial review afterwards.

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:

Contribute to the development, implementation, and improvement of procedures and processes and guidelines to ensure that all relevant the organization's policy/procedural requirements are fulfilled and to help direct the activities within the department.

CONTENT CREATION & DISSEMINATION:

  • Create designs or content (visual designs, text, emails, news items, etc.) based on business requirements and in line with the organization's Brand Strategy.
  • Support in creation of strategic communication and relationships.
  • Share approved content through relevant channels or transfer designs to production, to realise communication objectives.

EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS:

  • Develop, review, and proof external (media) communication ensuring alignment with stakeholder’s and business requirements.
  • Maintain and update communication content on websites, digital and other channels, and make recommendation for improvement.
  • Provide support to other senior management teams to ensure alignment of communication requirements for events and meetings.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of external crisis communication plans and maintain relationship with Legal and Risk teams and support in maintaining crisis communication plans to mitigate any potential risks to the organization's reputation.

BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS:

Collect, research, and analyse information and business needs, and translate this into input for content and design initiatives, in line with the organizations Corporate Communications and branding guidelines.

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT:

  • Establish effective working relationships with other departments, associates and third parties, to support and realise the organization's content production initiatives.
  • Liaise with media and other agencies for responses to questions and requests for information.

Knowledge and Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, or equivalent from a reputable and recognized university

Minimum Experience:

10+ years of relevant experience within Marketing and Communications, as well as experience in External Communications. Strong Arabic and English speaking and written skills.
