Position Overview

The main purpose of the role is to perform selected accounting and reporting tasks in the general ledger area. The role contributes to ensure proper accounting, reconciliation, and reporting for assigned entity(ies).

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform assigned accounting and reporting activities in line with defined processes, standard operating procedures and work instructions, update process documentations as required
  2. Respond to finance queries raised by employees, managers, finance partners & other internal and external stakeholders
  3. Escalate issues and concerns to Country Accountant or RTR Team Lead
  4. Support migration projects (work shadowing, work instructions creation)
  5. Act as a team player, build good relationship with stakeholders
  6. Support cross process and cross function cooperation required to achieve overall goals for GBS
  7. Secure compliance according to internal procedures and legislation
  8. Secure deadlines and assignments are executed according to SLA
  9. Act proactively in identification of improvement areas

Key Requirements

  1. Minimum 6 months of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  2. Knowledge of Technology: MS Office, SAP is an advantage
  3. Taking ownership of assigned responsibilities, including self-study/research needed to execute the same
  4. Being able to work to tight deadlines and with switching priorities
  5. Proactive and creative in terms of improving ways of working
  6. Team player

Qualifications/Education

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting

Languages

English is mandatory. Portuguese and Polish are good to have skills.

Hybrid working – 1 day per week in the office driven by business requirements as Convatec has a flexible approach to office working.
