This position opened in the Customs department under the leadership of the Tax & Customs Centre of Competences, within Finance, covering all Divisions.
The Nomenclature Analyst will be responsible for customs classification of Airbus engineering systems and tools, by assigning tariff codes (HS codes) and accurate descriptions to tangible goods. The classification is issued after careful analysis of data found in several Airbus databases (e.g. drawings, maintenance manuals, standards).
The Nomenclature Analyst will have a strong engineering/technical knowledge relating to Airbus aerospace systems of all divisions, allowing support to non-technical stakeholders in the supply chain.
Manage data needed to perform customs clearance activities, ensuring compliance in front of customs authorities and securing a smooth flow of goods.
The Nomenclature Analyst will work with the Financial Systems customs representative to achieve end-to-end digital management of classification data, as well as through activities with all departments involved in other data needed for customs declarations, such as Procurement, Transport-Logistic, Manufacturing, Programs, Finances, etc.
Integrated into a transverse team, the Nomenclature Analyst will support requests for customs classification and other customs data from all Airbus divisions through an internal multinational network of customs experts.
Responsible for reviewing data quality and will, with the support of the customs teams, propose any applicable updates to the customs Directive A1087 & all associated quality documents and will support the formalization of the ERM process.
