Your role

Do you have experience in Compliance, Financial Crime Prevention or in performing second-line-of-defence activities? Are you analytical and passionate about non-financial risk management rules and regulations? Would you like to join UBS Europe SE team based in Poland?

We are looking for a Compliance Monitoring Specialist with German who:

1. ensures adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies and safeguards UBS’s reputation against legal and regulatory risks
2. performs second-line-of-defence compliance duties for UBS Europe SE including governance and framework reviews
3. acts as a non-financial risk controller by performing manual controls related to various taxonomies (Know Your Client, Market Conduct, Conflicts of Interest, Fraud, Suitability, Cross Border, and regulations)
4. contributes to the continuous enhancement of our monitoring programs and processes
5. develops and maintains relationships with different UBS Europe SE and UBS Group stakeholders, in particular within the Compliance, Financial Crime Prevention and Operational Risk Control functions

Your team

You will be working as part of Group Compliance, Regulatory & Governance (GCRG). Our primary role is the monitoring of business activity within UBS Europe SE to ensure adherence to a number of key taxonomies, regulatory requirements, internal policies as well as safeguarding UBS’s reputation against legal and regulatory risks.

Your expertise

You have:

1. current experience of working in compliance monitoring, risk management, risk control or audit
2. strong analytical skills and being keen on laws and regulations
3. a good understanding or working knowledge of the business, processes and risks as well as the regulatory environment and expectations
4. good communication skills with excellent command of English (spoken and written)
5. good command of German
6. confidence to challenge the status quo and demonstrate strong risk awareness
7. ability to quickly gain knowledge on assigned processes, priorities and act as subject matter expert
8. team player skills with ability to build good working relationships with multiple stakeholders and to work as a collaborative and proactive member of a team
9. strong MS-Office skills and digital attitude
