The Dean of the Faculty of Philology

of the University of Białystok

with the consent of His Magnificence the Rector and the Faculty Council

announces a competition

for three positions

of assistant (in the group of research and teaching staff)

for a fixed term (1 October 2025 – 30 September 2027)

at the Faculty of Philology (Department of Translation and Foreign Language Teaching / Workshop of Communicology and Language Mediation)

in the field of English linguistics, on a full-time basis.

Requirements

Research Field: Language sciences » Languages

Education Level: Master Degree or equivalent

Skills/Qualifications:

1. Possession of at least a master's degree in English philology.
2. Documented scientific achievements in the field of English linguistics.
3. Knowledge of French at a minimum level of B2 is welcome.
4. Experience in conducting classes at a university, with particular emphasis on subjects in the field of translation studies or glottodidactics.
5. Organizational experience in work at a university.

Specific Requirements:

1. Application to the Rector.

3. Photocopy of the diploma certifying the award of a master's degree or/and a photocopy of the diploma certifying the award of a doctoral degree; in the case of obtaining a diploma abroad, a document confirming its equivalence with a Polish diploma will be required – nostrification.
4. Self-report containing the characteristics of the scientific, teaching and organizational experience to date.
5. List of scientific publications (with an indication of the number of points and attaching the first pages of the publication) from the last 5 years.
6. Declaration of compliance with the requirements specified in art. 113 sec. 1 of the Act of July 20, 2018 Higher Education Law and an information clause on the processing of personal data in accordance with the GDPR.
7. A statement that in the event of employment, the University of Białystok will be the primary place of work within the meaning of the Higher Education Law.
8. Other documents that the participant wishes to attach.
