Applications are invited from Pakistani Nationals, who are not married to a foreign national, for the appointment on the following position in the Department of Chemistry under National Research Program for Universities-Higher Education Commission (HEC) project No. 5612/Punjab/NRPU/R&D/HEC/2016, titled “Development of Novel Fluoroquinolone Derivatives as Radiopharmaceuticals Using Structural Modification to Bypass Problems of Bacterial Resistance in Infection Imaging” under following terms and conditions.

Monthly Stipend: PKR 25,000/- per month

Contract duration: 01 year (Extendable to 03 Years)

Qualification/Eligibility: PhD Student (already enrolled or fresh admission in Department of Chemistry)

Experience: The candidate should have experience in small scale organic synthesis, metal complexation, biological studies (antibacterial study, animal studies etc.), statistical data handling, and good writing skills. Candidates with project relevant background will be preferred.

Project information: The project duration is 36 months. The above position is purely on a temporary basis. The incumbent will be required to sign a surety bond for the entire duration of the project. The selected candidate could use partial project data for his/her PhD thesis to fulfill the requirement of the PhD degree with the consent of the PI (who will act as his/her supervisor). Intellectual property rights will remain intact with the Principal Investigator; and the student (Research Associate) will not claim any rights in this regard.
