Position Overview:

A Digital Content Strategist is a professional who plans, creates, and manages content strategies for online platforms to achieve specific business goals. Their work involves combining creativity, analytical skills, and marketing expertise to develop content that engages audiences, improves brand visibility, and drives traffic, conversions, or other desired outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Content Planning:
    1. Develop content calendars.
    2. Research industry trends and competitor strategies.
  2. Content Creation and Management:
    1. Oversee or create written, visual, and multimedia content.
    2. Ensure content aligns with brand voice and goals.
    3. Optimize content for SEO and other digital marketing strategies.
    4. Coordinate cross-platform content strategies (social media, blogs, websites, etc.).
  3. Performance Analysis:
    1. Use analytics tools to measure content effectiveness.
    2. Track and report on ROI of content efforts.
    3. Adjust strategies based on performance insights.
  4. Collaboration:
    1. Work with designers, marketers, and developers.
    2. Liaise with stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging.

Skills Needed:

  1. Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
  2. Proficiency in SEO, SEM, and social media platforms.
  3. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress.
  4. Analytical skills with tools like Google Analytics or HubSpot.
  5. Project management and organizational skills.
  6. Content creation: Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
