Job description

The Patient Safety Management Officer provides technical and administrative support to the Section Manager/Department Manager/ Assistant Vice President for Quality and Patient Safety in the management of SLMC's Quality and Patient Safety Program, specifically in managing data and information pertinent to quality and patient safety initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • extracts and collates patient and safety events from the hospital safety event reporting system
  • coordinates and collaborates with various units in collation of patient safety event reports for review and evaluation
  • documents discussion, recommendation and agreement made during focus group discussion and meetings
  • co-facilitates QPS related learning programs

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Nurse or Allied Healthcare Professional
  • With at least one (1) to three (3) years of hospital/clinical experience
  • meticulous, detailed-oriented, assertive, courteous, honest
  • ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects in a timely manner
  • average verbal and written communication skills
