Your Role

Introduction and Job Description

In order to grow the indirect business further, Atlas Copco oil free air division is seeking employing an experienced Business Development Engineer to handle the indirect business related to oil free air projects within the general industry and support our business partner in Oman.

The selected candidate will report to the Regional Business Line Manager –Oil free, Atlas Copco Services Middle East.

The Mission of the successful candidate will be to:

  • Develop and maintain a close relationship with distributors and key end customers, consultants and contractors / EPCs.
  • Promote all our products and solutions across all the oil free air division portfolio.
  • Focus on developing business of value products such as oil free compressors, VSD & FF units.
  • Bring specific focus on the F&B, Metal, Power & Water & Cement market segments.
  • Aim at achieving double digit growth both in terms of units as well as revenues.
  • Build relationships with large end users, contractors and engineering companies and consultants highlighting our range and capabilities.
  • Work with our Oman business partners in offering a solution that best suits the application.
  • Develop and train distributor personnel with on field sales training.
  • Support distributor during contract negotiations.
  • Ensure that we consistently plan, organize and carry-out lunch & learn sessions with customers promoting the value products.
  • Get resources from distributors to conduct survey of installed base of units and gather information on competition resources and activities in each territory.
  • Coordinate with OFA marketing to develop marketing materials in line with the market needs.
  • Consistent C4C CRM implementation of all sales and marketing activities to ensure accurate market information and customer database.

To succeed, you will need

Experience requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Sales of compressed air systems, preferably in Oman Market.
  • 2 years of experience dealing with distributors or resellers.

Knowledge and Competences

  • Good command (verbal and written) of English.
  • Working knowledge of Arabic language preferred.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Familiarity and experience to deal and negotiate contracts & high value orders.

Educational requirements

University Degree - Technically Oriented.

  • Pro-active with good interpersonal skills.
  • Results driven & customer focused.
  • Strong communication and team player.
  • Self motivated & willing to travel extensively.
