Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Familiarize with OQ and OPAL HSE procedures and requirements.
  2. Record all HSE statistics of the project and maintain tracking.
  3. Provide assistance to all site members for their queries.
  4. Follow up for compliance with the Monitoring plan and advise site personnel on compliance with client requirements and report submission to the Site HSSE Manager.
  5. Support all site personnel with problems related to HSE implementation.
  6. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards on-site and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  7. Prepare weekly/monthly site visit/inspection schedules and monitor HSE compliance at the site, reviewing performance on new HSE activities.
  8. Prepare and submit weekly and monthly HSE performance measurement reports to the HSE Manager and Client.
  9. Maintain records of HSE meetings and ensure that routine HSE meetings take place.
  10. Maintain Audit log, NCR Log, Action Tracking Register, Default Log, Training record, and incident log, ensuring all supporting documents of close-out are maintained.
  11. Create HSE Alerts, HSE bulletins, and conduct awareness sessions for the same.
  12. Conduct frequent site visits for auditing, inspection, training, and advising.
  13. Conduct accident/incident investigations, near misses, first aid cases, and follow-up reports.
  14. Maintain copies of all incident reports and provide a monthly report and all required documents to the Site HSE Manager.
  15. Be actively involved in documentation, implementation, and audits of corrective actions.
  16. Demonstrate active involvement in HSE training programs.
  17. Work as a team.
  18. Maintain records of subcontractors and conduct frequent audits to ensure compliance.
  19. Carry out safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  20. Investigate accidents or near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  21. Organize and conduct safety training sessions for all site personnel, including toolbox talks and induction training for new workers.
  22. Keep up to date with HSE laws and regulations to ensure the construction site adheres to all legal requirements.
  23. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, training sessions, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  24. Prepare and submit regular HSE reports to management and relevant authorities.
  25. Facilitate effective communication regarding HSE matters among all levels of the workforce, from management to site workers.
  26. Encourage a proactive safety culture by leading by example and promoting the importance of safety in all site activities.
  27. Implement behavioral safety programs to encourage safe work practices and reduce human error.
