ESP -Commissioning Engineer - OMAN

Job Title: Commissioning Engineer – (ESP) Electric Submersible Pump

Location: Oman, QARN AL ALAM
Role Summary:
Working unsupervised, monitoring, troubleshooting, and testing downhole ESP equipment in order to maximize well productivity and ESP run life.
Essential Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and monitor the day-to-day operation of ESP Systems under the Contract.
2. In charge of Commissioning, maintenance, configuration, and troubleshooting of ESP Systems including input of all well events.
3. Ensure readiness of well location for Surface ESP Equipment installation e.g. trenching for surface cable, location and orientation of foundation.
4. Shall be available all the time in the designated cluster/field unless notified to and approved by Company.

Qualifications/Requirements:

1. Diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical/petroleum/mechanical or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Electrical Submersible Pump Commissioning and Troubleshooting responsibilities is mandatory.
3. Having in-depth knowledge on downhole Electrical Submersible Pump systems.
4. Have experience with ESP down hole installation and pullout, as well as troubleshooting surface equipment.
5. Experience in VSD (Variable Speed Drives) and FSD (Fixed Speed Drives) is a must, in any of the following models: (Instruct, GCS, ADV, Vector, Triol Drives).
6. Experience in Maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and operating (VSD, FSD, and ESP) is a must.
7. Skills on HSE Leadership for Frontline Supervisor, H2S safety, First Aid.
8. Skills on Permit to Work (PTW) process.
9. Proficient in Electrical Safety.

1. Have analytical skills to route ESP problems during troubleshooting.
2. Have strong customer focus, communication, interpersonal, and team working skills.
3. Car license is an added advantage.
