Job Description
Wood are actively seeking Expressions of Interest for a Lead Static/Piping Engineer to join its Projects team focusing on delivering across FEED and Detail design scopes of work. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of Static Equipment engineers to carry out FEED and DD activities (Define stage and Execute stage) for an assigned area of a specific project in order to generate the relevant FEED deliverables on time according to DCAF requirements.
Responsibilities
- Review and raise clarifications on the ITB / Client documents / Contractual documents in case of ambiguity in definition / lack of clarity / lack of reference / areas of doubt etc.
- Technical Review of Concept and FEED documents and provide technical inputs for technical queries / FEED verification reports.
- Have single-point responsibility for all mechanical equipment engineering (static equipment) design deliverables and ensure that they conform to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the Client’s specifications, policies and procedures.
- Liaise and engage with Licensors, Equipment Vendors and OEMs as required to conclude the project deliverables in accordance with the project scope.
- Prepare & Review project Design Basis, Project Specifications for Static and package equipment.
- Prepare & review Material Requisitions (MR) and Engineering Specifications for all kinds of Static Equipment and Packages.
- Provide technical assistance and support for the procurement of major equipment.
- Review vendor offers and technically evaluate the vendor offers by raising technical queries. Evaluate the technical terms with the vendors during technical meetings.
- Prepare and review Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) and Approved for Purchase requisition (AFP).
- Participate in Kick-off meetings for project and vendor packages.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline (essential)
- Minimum 15 years of experience, at least 10 years in oil & gas and 6 years in FEED/Engineering experience.
- Experience in the Middle East is preferred.
- Be a team player where recognition of team performance as a whole is a greater priority than projecting individual contribution.
- Be able to work in a team environment and handle multiple project responsibilities.
- Assure that work and project promises are successfully delivered and appropriate reviews have been conducted.
