The Project
As part of its 2040 strategy to promote cultural and artistic innovations, a state-of-the-art centre for arts and culture is being built. Under one roof, the centre will include facilities such as F&B outlets, cinema, and art clubs.
We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking senior commercial manager to join our established and growing team in Oman.

Client Focus - Deliver On Our Promise- Play a key role in the performance of all operations from a commercial and financial perspective.
- Monitor financial performance, perform financial analysis (including trend analysis), and prepare project performance reports and recommendations for the executive team.
- Supervise the implementation of and adherence to the commercial management plan, subcontract management plan, and project risk management plan.
- Monitor, review, and keep relevant parties informed on the timeliness, cost, revenue, risk, progress, and performance of the project.
- Liaise with the construction team to ensure commercial processes and operations are as effective, efficient, and transparent as possible.
- Play a key role in the procurement and commercial structure/framework for the project.
- Monitor the subcontractor and supply agreement process.
- Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures in relation to legal, financial, and administration matters - the standard of internal control and policies.
- Set direction and provide clear and timely feedback to direct reports on their performance.
- Manage and provide leadership to a team of Managers and Professionals, ensuring the principles, structures, tools/capabilities, and responsibilities are in place to deliver area plans and deliver excellence.
- Address subcontractor contractual claims and changes.
- Assist in the production of monthly client applications.
- Approve invoices and issue IPCs.
- Draft necessary notices and contractual correspondence.
- Commercially manage design consultants and specialist fees.
- Ensure site team acts within commercial and legal procedures and agreements.
- Communicate with clients and contractors.
- Work collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You’ll Need To Have- Extensive experience in commercial management.
- Cultural project experience preferred.
- Familiarity with the main rules of measurement.
- A background in high value/complex projects.
- A strong working knowledge of the FIDIC suite of construction contracts.
- A strong working knowledge of design & build.
- A strong background in contract administration.
- Ability to create an inclusive work environment based on trust and respect. Mentor and coach team members to develop their careers.
- Ability to earn the trust and respect of colleagues.
- Effective communication skills – strong in oral and written English is essential.

You’ll Also Need- Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) from an accredited, internationally recognized institution or university.
- MRICS.
- Other professional memberships are an advantage but not essential.
