ChampionX is seeking to hire an Application Specialist/Field Engineer in our Chemicals Technologies division. In this position you will be working for our customer field based in Oman. Due to the job specifications, we are looking to hire Omani nationals for this role.

What You Will Do- Follow safety policies to provide a safe workplace and support the guiding principles of Goal Zero.
- Support and commit to the Quality Improvement Process to ensure error-free work.
- Support the chemical treating program by performing sampling, analyses, and testing of water process streams.
- Manage field chemical inventories at warehouse and skid locations.
- Maintain chemical dosing rates.
- Supervise installation/removal/change of chemical injection sites.
- Prepare and distribute scheduled reporting and other reports as requested.
- Update and maintain the chemical program database.
- Participate in Company meetings as requested.
- Comply with and maintain safety programs.
- Implement the Field Surveillance Schedule, including collection of produced oil, water and gas samples and performing required analyses.
- Manage supplied and injected chemical inventory including Demulsifier, Corrosion Inhibitor, Scale Inhibitor, and others.
- Work closely with client Process Chemists and Mechanicals.
- Monitor chemical consumption and application effectiveness.
- Conduct Chemical Injection System Surveys & Optimization.
- Plan and implement any bottle test / chemical Field trials.
- Deliver reports including consumption of chemicals against production data & KPIs.
- Manage front line maintenance of chemical injection hardware and major repairs.
- Provide direct supervision to chemical filling crew during loading and offloading.

Minimum Education & Experience- 4-year technical degree in chemistry or equivalent.
- 5 years’ experience in oil, gas and water production and treatment systems.
- Comply with and maintain safety programs.
- Demonstrate stock management experience.
- Good technical writing and computer skills.
- Must be licensed to drive the assigned company vehicle.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
Preferred Experience- Experience in supervising/managing a team is an advantage.
