Job Description

Our Performance and Value function understands and communicates the key drivers of current business performance to wider leadership teams, conducts annual forecasting and regular reforecasting during the year, and provides financial modelling and analysis to support decision making.

We’re looking for a Kaitaki - Whakamahere, Tutukinga Planning and Performance Manager to join our team for a six-month fixed term contract, with a key focus of understanding and communicating the key drivers of performance, and generating insights to drive Z towards maximum performance.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Deliver high quality business planning and forecasting including annual forecasting, 5-year planning, and in-year forecasting
  • Provide decision support including preparing, reviewing and supporting financial modelling for investment decisions
  • Provide clear insights to our financial performance and execution of our strategic objectives, through strong use of data, critical thinking, and inquiry
  • Deliver monthly reporting and forecasting information for our Z Leadership Team performance paper, monthly business review reporting, and other reports
  • Build strong working relationships within the Performance and Value team, across our wider Business Unit and deliver financial and forecasting data to both Z and Ampol Group Finance teams
  • Work to support our Digital and Corporate functions as their performance manager, maintaining the integrity of financial reporting and providing performance management

Qualifications

What you’ll bring to Z:

  • Experience in the management and design of financial outlook modelling, preparation of operating performance projections and key metrics analysis to support reporting, planning, and forecasting activities
  • The ability to think globally and strategically, and objectively
  • The skills to effectively translate data, business knowledge and business goals into actionable insights, strategies, and business plans
  • Expertise in building relationships with internal and external contacts, forming partnerships that support business success
  • Experience in a complex commercial environment
  • Demonstrated experience of informing investment and business decisions by analysing financial information to forecast business, industry, or economic conditions
  • The availability to start in February and commit to the term of the contract

The base salary range for this role is $129,200 to $152,000 per annum (pro-rata for length of the contract), we also offer a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution.
