If you are an experienced practitioner in funeral service and would like to take the step into management, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of the day-to-day running of the funeral home. You’ll be leading a small but extremely capable and committed team. Be responsible for the overall success of the funeral home, planning and implementing the marketing plan and developing and maintaining local business contacts and relationships with key people such as celebrants and clergy.

You will be supported on the business side of the role by an experienced regional manager.

Skills / Experience

• Personal attributes that are critical in the role. You’ll be able to demonstrate compassion, insight, and empathy and be able to easily connect to others across a wide range of cultures, values, and beliefs.
• Your ability to lead a multi-skilled and dedicated team will be a strength – but your ability to lead will include leading by example as you get involved in all aspects of the day-to-day operations.
• While there is a lot of variety in the role, you’ll also need to demonstrate a highly organised, proactive, and flexible approach to ensure the smooth running of the operations and ensure that we meet and exceed every family’s expectations in terms of service and delivery.
• You’ll need to be confident with technology, comfortable with the physical requirements of the role, have a current unrestricted driver’s licence, and be able to work as part of an after-hours/weekend roster when required.
