Facilities and Maintenance Manager (Readvertised Role)

  • Based in Timaru - working across the Timaru Hospital Campus
  • 1 FTE Permanent
  • Starting May 2025

About the Role

The Facilities Maintenance Manager is a key member of the Infrastructure and Investment team and is responsible for the overall management of facilities and maintenance across Health New Zealand - South Canterbury. Based at Timaru Hospital, this role is responsible for continuous improvement, maintenance planning and prevention, and leads a small team of tradespersons as well as managing external contractors. The role is diverse and includes project management of smaller capital projects.

About you

We are seeking someone from a trade-related field with experience in facility and business management. The person will be able to build positive and collaborative customer relations both internally and externally. Other skills and abilities include:

  • Able to work operationally while leading the service
  • Broad knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and building services
  • A working knowledge of building management systems
  • Able to deliver professional services that meet all codes of compliance
  • Health and safety driven
  • Proven leadership experience
  • The right to work in New Zealand

Salary Range

Individual Employment Agreement on Band SP16.
