Corporate Finance Manager - Valuations

The Opportunity

We are representing a Top 10 international CA firm looking to grow their Corporate Finance advisory presence in Auckland at Senior Consultant/Manager level.

This position will be working within a consulting firm with a high focus on Valuations - specifically business valuation, intangible valuations and impairment reviews.

Key Duties

• Prepare and oversee valuation reports for business, intangible asset, option, right, debt security and derivative valuations.
• Review, design and build financial models - discounted cashflows, 3-way forecast models, etc.
• Prepare financial analysis to support written reports.
• Business strategies and tangible/business valuations.
• You’ll be working with a broad mix of clients from various sectors and industries including SME, private owners and private equity firms.
• Valuation reports for debt security and derivative valuation.
• Assist partners on new proposals and business opportunities.
• Prepare and manage Independent Expert Opinions for litigation and dispute resolution.
• Some involvement in M&A engagements across sell and buy side mandates.

The Ideal Profile

• You would bring a background from one of the Big 4 or Mid Tier firms within any of the following service lines: Valuations, Business Recoveries, Deals Advisory, Due Diligence/Transaction Services.
• Core experience within business valuations is required within a consulting firm.
• 3-5 years post qualification, with the relevant certifications (CA/CPA/CFA) and recent advisory experience within a public practice setting.
• You’ll have excellent client and stakeholder management skills gained from dealing with a diverse and extensive portfolio.
• You'll have excellent financial modelling and report writing skills.
