On-site Technical Expert - Oslo/Bergen, Tietoevry Banking (m/f/d)

We are seeking for a Technical Expert with at least 3 years of experience in Java and experience using format conversions tools – for example IBM ITX. This position requires on-site presence and location Oslo/Bergen.

Would you like to be a part of a team responsible for developing and maintaining Fund Check & Booking systems for Tietoevry Bank systems? As a developer, you will be responsible for product development, strategic input and daily maintenance.

The existing Interbank system is developed on a mainframe environment, Cobol programming language and IMS/DB2 database are the main products used to develop the system. In the coming years, the system will be migrated from the mainframe to a decentralized environment where the primary programming language is Java, and the database is Oracle.

We are looking for someone:

• Solution oriented and accurate
• Curious, and eager to learn more about format conversion. Ability and interest in digging for solutions & interested in getting an understanding of the whole Payment Value Chain
• Understand both customer requirements and technical tasks and participate in communication
• Methodical and structured with good analytical skills
• Keeps calm in stressful situations and likes to find the best solutions
• Independent, but likes to collaborate in teams
• Take responsibility since we are working with socially critical payment infrastructure
• Ability to familiarize yourself with existing systems and frameworks

Preferred background:

• Experience in handling format conversions.
• Experience using format conversions tools – for example IBM ITX
• Minimum of three years of work experience in Java application
• Fluent language skills in English and Norwegian, verbally and writing
• SQL competence, preferably in Oracle
• A minimum of three years of education from college/university, in IT or experience relevant to the position.
• Knowledge of the following technologies: IBM MQ, Web Services, GIT, SQL, Unix/Linux, XML, Spring, Javascript, Maven
