The energy transition is one of the biggest opportunities of our time. Yet, many of the most impactful solutions struggle to scale due to a lack of industry knowledge, strategic support, and capital. This is where REspire comes in.

We are a venture studio—a structured approach to founding and scaling startups. Unlike traditional incubators or accelerators, we don’t just support founders; we co-found companies, working hands-on to reduce risk, accelerate growth, and increase success rates.

Since launching in 2024, we've already founded three ventures in wave energy, sustainable aquaculture, and small-scale hydro, and we’re just getting started. Now, we're looking for a driven and entrepreneurial co-founder to help us scale the next generation of climate ventures.

Your Role as Co-Founder

You will play a critical role in identifying, launching, and scaling new climate tech startups. Your focus will be on:

• Creating and managing deal flow – Evaluating new startup opportunities, technologies, and market needs.
• Leading the development of ventures – Working hands-on with entrepreneurs, researchers, and industry partners to build startups.
• Fundraising and partnerships – Engaging with investors, corporate partners, and public funding programs to secure support for our ventures and the studio.
• Building scalable systems – Helping set up repeatable processes that improve how we develop companies over time.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a co-founder, not an employee. That means you need to be highly entrepreneurial, comfortable with uncertainty, and passionate about building. Ideally, you bring two or more of the following:

• Deep sector expertise in energy transition, renewables, or sustainability.
• Experience building and scaling startups — either as a founder or operator, or as a facilitator at an incubator, accelerator, or venture builder.
• Experience in startup funding — ideally from a VC fund or similar with a strong network of LPs and industrial investors relevant to climate tech and deep tech.

In addition, the right candidate will:

• Be both strategic and hands-on — able to think critically about markets and business models while also rolling up your sleeves to build and execute.
• Have a strong network in the climate tech ecosystem.
• Thrive in early-stage environments — comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration.
• Be a natural at outreach and relationship-building — whether you're an introvert or extrovert, you know how to engage investors, partners, and customers.

Compensation & Commitment

This role is equity-based (up to 30%) initially, with a small stipend available. Part-time engagement for the initial period can be agreed if you prefer. Our goal is to secure studio funding within the next 6-12 months, at which point the position will transition to a full-time, salaried role.
