We are looking for a talented Chinese Language Translator to join our dynamic team. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless communication of our brand and marketing messages to our Chinese-speaking audience, with a primary focus on social media platforms. You will be responsible for translating a wide range of social media materials, from English into both Simplified and Traditional Chinese.


Job Responsibilities:

  1. Social Media Content:
    Translate and localize the company's social media posts and campaigns, including platforms like XiaoHongShu, YouTube, Line, Instagram, etc., ensuring the content resonates with Chinese-speaking audiences while maintaining the brand’s tone, voice, and key messaging.
  2. Video Scripts and Content:
    Translate video scripts, promotional videos, and visual content materials for platforms such as YouTube, IG Reels and other popular video platforms. Ensure that the translations are culturally relevant, engaging, and suitable for each specific channel.
  3. Copywriting & Daily Articles:
    Translate various forms of content, from press releases, emails, website information to promotional materials, while also adapting them to suit the specific linguistic nuances and cultural context of the target market.
  4. Content Localization and Adaptation:
    Work closely with the marketing team to adapt content for local audiences, ensuring that it resonates with regional cultural references, expressions, and trends. Tailor the language used in translations to suit different Chinese-speaking markets, whether for Mainland China (Simplified Chinese) or regions like Taiwan, Hong Kong, or Macau (Traditional Chinese). Stay updated on the latest social media trends and language preferences in different Chinese-speaking regions to optimize engagement.
  5. Market Research and Trends Analysis:
    Conduct research on the language preferences, slang, and trends within the target Chinese-speaking markets to better inform translation choices and ensure content relevance. Stay informed about cultural and political shifts in Chinese-speaking regions to ensure that all translations are culturally sensitive and avoid potential misunderstandings.
  6. Others:
    Organize and archive both Chinese and English materials for future references. Complete other translation and social media relevant tasks assigned by superiors.

Main requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or above, with translation experience. Working experience or education in finance (stocks/funds) is preferred. Strong translation skills, a high level of English proficiency, and fluency in both Simplified and Traditional Chinese; ability to accurately translate articles from English to Chinese and vice versa. Detail-oriented, quick thinking, mature and meticulous personality, with a strong sense of responsibility to work together as a team. Passion for social marketing and a deep understanding of social media platforms, including but not limited to XiaoHongShu, TikTok, Instagram, and other popular platforms in the Chinese-speaking market. Well-versed in social media trends and how to adapt content to fit the tone, style, and audience expectations across different channels. Proactive and innovative, with a drive to stay ahead of emerging trends in social media marketing and digital content creation.
