Job Responsibilities:
Ensure the WWTP operates efficiently and is well-maintained at all times.
Monitor and ensure that treated discharge water meets regulatory specifications (Standard A).
Conduct daily routine inspections and monitoring of WWTP operations, recording all readings in the log sheet.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all related equipment.
Troubleshoot and carry out corrective maintenance in case of breakdowns or abnormal operations, reporting issues to the superior immediately.
Maintain accurate inventory records of spare parts, chemicals, and consumables, and request replenishment as needed.
Ensure all tools and consumables are properly used, stored, and kept in good condition.
Monitor chemical and consumable stock levels, tracking consumption and adjusting dosing rates to optimize plant operations.
Record and monitor chemical consumption, as well as incoming and discharged water data.
Coordinate and arrange incoming feed from area owners/production teams.
Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the WWTP area.
Perform any other tasks as assigned by the superior.
Job Requirements:
Diploma or higher qualification in Chemical/Environmental Engineering, Chemical/Environmental Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Training or certification related to Wastewater Treatment Plant operations is an added advantage.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Strong coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle urgent tasks effectively.
