About the role

Our organization is seeking a dedicated Watchman to join our team in an estate located 1 hour from Bandar Ceneh Baharu, Kemaman Terengganu. As a Watchman, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our premises, employees, and assets. This is a full-time position that requires vigilance, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to providing excellent security services.

What you'll be doing

1. Perform the daily job of watchman such as ensuring the safety of staff, building, assets, and whole estate during working hours.
2. Inspect in and out vehicles, staff, etc.
3. Do daily reporting to the security officer/superior.
4. Maintain a security watch throughout the assigned shift.
5. Perform routine checks of assigned areas to ensure they are secure.
6. Ensure all entry and exit points are monitored and secure, including managing gates, doors, and entrances.
7. Manage vehicle entry and ensure vehicles are parked in the correct zones, particularly in restricted areas.
8. Welcome and direct visitors and clients in a professional and courteous manner while entering or exiting the premises, providing access passes or visitor badges to authorized individuals, ensuring proper logging of their entry and exit times.
9. Ensure the security booth or post is kept clean and orderly and regularly check the condition of uniforms, tools, or any safety equipment, ensuring they are functional.

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a security or surveillance role.
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to identify and respond to potential security risks.
• Able to communicate and interact with a diverse range of people.
• A proactive and vigilant approach to security, with the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
• A valid security guard license or certification will be an advantage.
• A strong commitment to upholding safety and security standards.
