Warehouse Supervisor
Job description
Job Responsibility
- Supervise and lead warehouse assistants on day-to-day operations activities (if any subordinate reported to).
- Act as backup to assistant supervisor/supervisor of other designated areas during their absence.
- Assist in the absence of the warehouse assistant in the designated area.
- Ensure discipline and company regulations are carried out by the designated responsible warehouse area.
- Report to superior on the lateness of team members for necessary actions taken.
- Ensure SOP, HACCP, GMP, and safety procedures are performed and carried out in the warehouse.
- Ensure warehouse team members of the designated area follow and perform the procedures, rules, and regulations accordingly.
- Handle daily forklift maintenance recording (if the division needs a forklift).
- Arrange for warehouse assistants to maintain cleanliness in the designated work area.
- Ensure the safety of warehouse work activities and environment; report to superior for any defects identified.
- Carry out corrective actions from any non-conformities and audit findings detected.
- Check, identify, and ensure the right items and quantities of Non-conformities, RMA, DMR, and report to clerk and superior for actions taken.
- Highlight to superior any slow-moving or obsolete inventory detected.
- Check, monitor, and ensure warehouse assistants carry out FIFO and FEFO practices; any discrepancies shall be highlighted to superior.
- Carry out daily warehouse inventory counts as identified by superior and report the count accordingly.
- Participate in monthly warehouse cycle counts and half-yearly PI counts as instructed by superior.
- Conduct scheduled checks on warehouse maintenance of forklifts and buildings, reporting to superior in a timely manner.
- Conduct records and update data checking in a timely manner as required.
- Provide training and guidance to warehouse assistants, monitor their performance, and report to superior.
- Support ad hoc requests from superior.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year working experience as warehouse supervisor in manufacturing industry.
- SPM holder or relevant qualification.
- Forklift skills and knowledge of ERP systems required.
- Able to read and write in Bahasa Malaysia.
- Physically fit for working in the warehouse.
- Willing to work in Taiping, Perak.
