We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our dynamic team at PIL. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing warehouse operations within the Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) and Johor region, ensuring that business objectives are met, and operational excellence is achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate the operations team to achieve the company’s business objectives for the Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) and the Johor region.
  • Manage operational matters professionally, including Container Freight Station (CFS) - Consolidation/De-consolidation, Less than Container Load (LCL), Full Container Load (FCL), Contract Logistics (CL), and Transport (including cross-border), project logistics, and ad-hoc shipments.
  • Coordinate ocean freight operations for the Johor region.
  • Oversee outsourced business at vendor/supplier sites and cross-border trade/trucking in collaboration with Freight & Pacific International Lines Logistics Singapore (PIL Log SG) teams.
  • Ensure operational and business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are consistently met, with continuous improvement as needed.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate billing and invoicing to customers.
  • Manage department operating costs and budgets according to Profit & Loss (P&L) objectives.
  • Prepare and submit operational and business reports as required.
  • Maintain good relationships with customers, Customs, and government agencies in the Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) and Johor.
  • Work closely with Sales/Business Development (BD) to grow business in the Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) and Johor region, targeting direct shippers/Beneficial Cargo Owners (BCOs).
  • Monitor Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and share market information with the Management team.
  • Coach and develop the team’s capabilities, monitoring and evaluating their performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, particularly on safety, anti-corruption, and corporate governance.

MUST HAVE:

  • 8-10 years of solid experience managing logistics operations within a Third-Party Logistics (3PL) environment.
  • Good network and in-depth understanding of the logistics industry in Malaysia.
  • Proven track record in leading teams toward achieving operational excellence.
  • Strong team player with a “can-do” attitude, business-minded, and enjoys challenges.
  • Relevant qualifications in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related fields.
  • Possess own vehicle and valid driving license.
